International Advisory Board Meeting at Kutaisi International University

Kutaisi International University hosted a meeting of its International Advisory Board. The board is chaired by Professor Dr. Sebastian Schmidt, Scientific Director of Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) in Germany. Other board members present at the meeting included Prof. Dr. Bernd Neumaier, Director of the Institute of Neuroscience and Medicine (INM-5) at Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH, Germany; Prof. Roberto Orecchia, Scientific Director of the Instituto Europeo di Oncologia, Milan, Italy; Prof. Dr. N. J. Shah, Director of the Institute of Neuroscience and Medicine (INM-4) at Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH, Germany; Prof. Dr. Achim Stahl, Professor of RWTH Aachen, Aachen, Germany; Prof. Dr. Hans Stroeher, Director of the Institute for Nuclear Physics at Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH, Germany; and Prof. Dr. Jürgen Fassbender, Director of the Institute of Ion Beam Physics and Materials Research, Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR), Germany.

The session was opened by Professor Mikheil Chkhenkeli, the chairman of the International Advisory Board of Kutaisi International University, delivering remarks on university's successes. Following this, Rector of Kutaisi International University, Professor Alexander Tevzadze, and Chancellor Magda Magradze presented the report on the work done by the university in the last year.

The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the board of the International Charity Foundation "Cartu" Niko Chkhetiani and the Projects Director Vakhtang Tsagareli.

The 2024 action plan and planned activities of the university were also discussed at the meeting.
