TUM International GmbH (TUMint) is a 100% subsidiary of the Technical University of Munich (TUM), which ranks among Europe’s most outstanding universities in innovation and research. TUMint supports Kutaisi International University (KIU) since 2017 in the development of the university campus, the management structure, transfer strategies and the educational programs. KIU’s goal is to offer highest quality university education, guided by the Technical University of Munich (TUM) model for an entrepreneurial and engaged university. TUM International’s assistance to KIU extends from helping to recruit international professors, to achieve International Accreditation, maintain a consistently high teaching quality, and guide with regards to strategic questions.
Since 2021, TUM International’s main focus is also on launching and supporting KIUInnovate, the landmark initiative of KIU aiming to instill entrepreneurship and innovation within the academic and non-academic university programs, while building a strong and lively innovation ecosystem around the university. TUM International also supports the initiative in its expansion phase, e.g. through co-hosting the KIUInnovate Business Forum. Lastly, TUM International assists KIU’s outreach activities at the national and international level.
